Pond Behind Lemsford

The association feels that because of the secluded location of the pond, a floating device will help to potentially save lives. There is a danger and possibility of someone falling into the pond.

RFRA has successfully convinced the Town to install a floating device by the pond. We hope to never use it but in order to make sure of its availability, please notify us at info@rfra.ca if it is missing.

The pond is still heavily infested with weeds. We met with the Town’s engineers in early spring and are waiting for further actions from the Town.

Overgrown Weeds - As a result of our complaints to the Town, the owner of the land carried out a maintenance to cut down the tall weeds.

Development Update - The last proposal at the Town was to build a multi-unit townhouse. This proposal was put on hold due to the last election and the change of Town Council. There is no new proposal or any new development on the townhouse proposal.

During the last public meeting, the Mayor praised our work and advised the developer to continue working with the community in finding an acceptable solution for the development of the lot. We will post new information as soon as it becomes available.
