"Recently a young chinese student came to examine our Power Stream bill
saying that we are all entitled to a rebate. He wanted to see my bill to
confirm that I did not receive any rebate. I reluctantly gave it to him.
He then proceeded to write the account number and asked to sign. I asked
him for his badge - he said he forgot it in the car down the street. It
was those days when the temperature was over minus 30, so I felt sorry and
did not ask him to go get it. Learn a lesson from this all of you. No
badge, no discussion. As it turned out I signed it with agony, still questioning what rebate as
I am almost up to date on these things. Beside my signature I wrote -NO
NEW RATE as the fellow did not want me to strike out the new rate clause
showing on the form. The rate is higher than I am currently paying. He
said that that was referring to new customers. He left without giving me a
copy of that contract.
Well afterwards, I had my doubts and called Power Stream. It turned out
that my hunch was right. They are going to sign me up for new rates
(higher than PS). But there is a comfort.... Power Stream does not
transfer you until you confirm with them directly. These crooks as
supposed to call me to confirm this week and have not, I am alerting you
don’t fall into the same "scam" like I did. Respond to Power Stream when
they contact you." |
